As of 8th May, 2015, Servispart Consulting has become the latest member of the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA).
According to the NWAA, “it is the flagship organisation representing some 750 member companies and stakeholders involved in the UK’s premier aerospace cluster and the model for industry-led organisations throughout Europe.”
Adrian Botham, the founder of Servispart Consulting said:
“We are absolutely delighted to become the latest members of the North West Aerospace Alliance as it affords us a much greater opportunity to support the growth and development of the UK Aerospace industry during this exciting period of global expansion and resurgence of UK manufacturing capability.”
Who Are The North West Aerospace Alliance
The North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA) was formed in 1994 to represent and support the Aerospace Industry across the North West of England.
Based in Preston, it represents approximately 25% of the UK aerospace industry with over 240 member companies and a combined turnover in excess of £7 Billion.
The North West Aerospace Alliance is therefore the key industry organisation representing and uniting companies and organisations involved in the aerospace sector supply chain in this particular region of England.
As the North West of England is also the home of Servispart Consulting, the leading Aerospace Aftermarket Consultants, joining the NWAA was a no-brainer for us.
It’s membership includes some of the great household name aerospace manufacturing companies such as BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and Airbus.
It also includes well-known parts manufacturers such as Magellan, Senior and Tritech just to name a few.
About the North West Aerospace Industry
If you don’t live in the North West of England, it may come as a surprise to learn that the UK aerospace industry is number 1 in Europe and number 2 in the world!
Only the USA aerospace industry is bigger.
According to official Government statistics, the North West Aerospace cluster directly generated £7 billion for the local economy in 2013, accounting for 25% of the UK aerospace total.
In 2013, this region employed circa 26,000 people adding gross value of £73,000 per employee and generating 7% of regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The Return of UK Manufacturing
According to official forecasts, air traffic is forecast to double in the next 15 years generating demand for more than 29,000 new aircraft, two thirds of which are additional to the 18,000 aircraft in operation today.
With all this industry growth, the prospects for long-term employment growth in the North West of England has never been better.
As big fans of the manufacturing industry, we are absolutely delighted that the UK manufacturing industry is making such a big comeback.
And as providers of specialist management consultancy services for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier ‘n’ parts / system suppliers, it sounds like Servispart Consulting could have a lot of work coming our way in the next few years?
You can rest assured that we’ll be doing our best to provide the essential insights and services that the Aerospace industry needs to grow effectively, not just for clients in the North West, but across the UK.
And of course, joining the NWAA should help us to accomplish that more effectively.
