How advanced is your manufacturing business?
Have you ever wondered whether your business is more or less servitised than your peers and competitors in your industry?
What about in adjacent industries, similar to yours?
Should you offer and sell more services in addition to your products?
How might your business and your customers benefit if you did?
If you’d like answers to these questions then we’ve got a way of helping you get them for very little effort on your part.
Manufacturing Servitisation Research
At Servispart Consulting, we are conducting some research to better understand the extent of servitisation within and across a number of engineering product sectors.
The research is designed to help understand:
the extent to which manufacturers of different sizes and in different product sectors are oriented towards services;
the extent to which greater service capability is a predictor of faster growth and stronger margins;
how manufacturers see the opportunities, benefits and barriers of greater servitisation.
Complete the survey and you will be eligible to receive a free copy of our findings as soon as they are published.
You’ll also receive an opportunity to benchmark your manufacturing services situation against peers in your industry and adjacent sectors (on a general basis as data on specific companies must remain confidential).

Why Are We Doing This Research
While servitisation as a topic of interest is relatively new, the leading companies in the engineering product sector have been doing it for many years and enjoying huge benefits.
That said, some industry sectors are more mature than others, most manufacturing companies have yet to get started on their servitisation journey and research into the extent of servitisation within different industry sectors is sparse.
With this latest research, we aim to fix that problem.
According to Adrian Botham, director of Servispart Consulting:
“This research will provide the facts and figures to enable manufacturing company leaders to fully understand what servitisation is and how it could benefit their business and its customers.”
We’d therefore like as many manufacturing companies as possible to contribute to the survey.
This research is being promoted by a number of industry organisations including:
Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA);
North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA);
Institute of Operations Management (IOM);
Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
